David Kirchharr joined SEACON Engineering Associates, Inc. in 1996 and is one of the founding members of the organization. He has held multiple positions within SEACON, including Engineer, Team Leader, Project Manager, and Vice-President. Through all of these roles he has helped with development of engineering team members, customer relationships, and business practices within SEACON.

As President, he plays a leadership role in corporate management and strategic planning for the company He also is a member of the company’s board of directors.

David has extensive background in Pulp and Paper manufacturing and converting operations, playing a primary role in developing many of the company’s key customers.

He is a 1987 graduate of the University of South Alabama with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states and has many years of progressive experience in control system engineering, involving the development of functional control specifications, programmable logic controller (PLC) system design, equipment specifications, logic design, programming, distributed control system (DCS) configuration, safety system design and implementation, programming and start-up support.
