Heath Bryan is a seasoned Project Engineer specializing in electrical and instrumentation projects with over 15 years of experience in the pulp and paper and industrial automation sectors. His expertise spans engineering design, project management, installation coordination, final checkout, safety design validation, and supervision of electrical designers and contractors. Heath holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
Heath has experience overseeing the complete design, implementation, and installation management of new converting lines from winder through case packer and palletizer. He managed the integration of equipment such as Perini and PCMC winders, TMC wrappers, PackAir and Valley diverters, and Edson and Salwasser case packers. Heath also spearheaded PLC and HMI upgrades, replacing Modicon PLCs and I/O with new Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, I/O, and HMIs. Throughout his career, Heath has demonstrated expertise in Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Control System Engineering with Allen-Bradley & Modicon PLCs, Honeywell Experion DCS, RSView, FactoryTalk ME/SE HMI Systems, and Allen-Bradley VFD Drives and Kinetix Servos.
Heath’s experience extends to roll speed control systems, where he coordinated drive systems on numerous toilet paper and paper towel winders, installing Allen-Bradley drives for roll speed and tension control. He also worked on projects such as the PCMC Turret Servo Upgrade, installing Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000 servo drives.
Heath also has experience in Honeywell TDC 3000 DCS upgrades, converting legacy DCS and HMI systems to a new Rockwell Plant PAX control platform. He has also led projects involving safety upgrades, including the design, implementation, installation management, commissioning, and safety validation of palletizer systems using GuardLogix safety controllers.
