Larry Battles is an accomplished electrical engineer with over 27 years of industrial experience in control system design, project management, operations support, and supervision. He graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1996 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Throughout his career, Larry has held various senior roles at reputable companies, including Cummins Engine Company and International Diesel. He has demonstrated expertise in PLC programming, DCS migration, and electromechanical control systems design. Larry’s diverse experience also includes roles at MP3 Fibre, FPS Technologies, and Navistar, where he excelled in developing and implementing electrical control systems for manufacturing facilities.
As a Senior Project Engineer at Seacon Engineering Associates, Larry played a pivotal role in several high-profile projects, including new installations and upgrades for major tissue manufacturers. His responsibilities encompassed startup support, PLC programming, and electrical design for machine control and safety systems.
He possesses a wide range of professional skills, including project management, tissue manufacturing process knowledge, Allen-Bradley PLC programming, Rockwell HMI software, servo systems, line integration, coordinated drive systems, robot programming, and RFID systems.
